Peak TV” is not a myth. There’s a lot of damn fine shows to watch essentially all year round these days, which makes selecting these superlatives both easier and more difficult. I obviously can only watch so much, so there’s a hundred percent chance I’ve missed something or somethings. Thankfully the list below is completely subjective and doesn’t actually matter. Just as word-of-mouth and social media buzz for Netflix’s newest series Stranger Things was picking up I was blessed with a rainy summer weekend allowing me to marathon the show guilt-free. And boy was it a satisfying marathon. With just eight episodes it was not only an easy watch but also a tight story with well developed characters and little filler.
