Last weekend I drove from New Jersey to Indianapolis and back to see Penn State play in the Big Ten Championship game. It wasn’t something I initially planned to do, but after I was able to get my hands on some reasonably priced tickets and was offered a couch to sleep on by some friends in Ohio, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So in less than a week I went from browsing StubHub to driving over 1,400 miles for a football game.
This Presidential Election has been rather divisive, but I think we can all agree on one thing – it needs to be over. So after you cast your vote on Tuesday, why not take your mind off things with some TV. No, I’m not recommending you watch the 24-hour news cycle, I recommend checking out these election day-inspired episodes.
February 13th is quickly approaching, so ready your waffle maker and round up your lady friends for Galentine’s Day. AKA, ‘only the best day of the year’ according to Leslie Knope. If a gathering is out of the question, why not send your friends a Parks and Recreation-inspired Galentine’s Day card instead?
It’s been another busy year of watching TV. Some beloved shows bid adieu, some jumped the shark, others enjoyed a creative resurgence, and many new excellent shows were added to my watchlist. To celebrate, here’s my ‘best of’ list for 2015. As always, this list is both subjective and ultimately meaningless. Cheers to the new year!
The current television landscape is filled with slackers, antiheroes, cynicism, Law and Order-inspired crimes, supernatural beings, and backstabbing drama, but Parks and Recreation has always marched to it’s own beat, which is why I’m really going to miss it.
Looking for the perfect Galentine’s Day treat? How about a waffle-inspired dessert? After all, waffles and friends are among the two most important things in life (according to Leslie Knope & Parks and Recreation that is).
