Several TV shows I watch are making the move to Friday nights this coming TV season and while most of Twitter was up in arms about their favorite shows moving to the so-called “Friday Night Death Slot”, I was actually pretty pleased with the scheduling moves. “Peak TV” is not a myth. There’s a lot of damn fine shows to watch essentially all year round these days, which makes selecting these superlatives both easier and more difficult. I obviously can only watch so much, so there’s a hundred percent chance I’ve missed something or somethings. Thankfully the list below is completely subjective and doesn’t actually matter. So without further ado, here’s my picks for the best of 2016.
New York Comic Con 2016 is officially in the books. It was a whirlwind of early mornings, late nights, long lines, and lots of TV. From panels and virtual reality experiences to books and sneak peeks there was never a shortage of things to do and see. In my two days at NYCC I was able to catch nine panels and spend some time wandering the showroom floor. Here’s the highlights:
Back in 2012 I recommended some of my favorite TV podcasts, well it’s been a few years and I’ve found some new ones. Whether you’re looking for some show-specific podcasts or more broad entertainment and pop culture ones, here’s a few you should listen to.
Let’s be real. “Best of…” lists are always subjective, I can’t possibly watch everything, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to make one. I still watched a hell of a lot of TV this year, so without further ado, here’s my list of 2014 TV superlatives:
