What’s next? A 2019 trailer for another batch of 30 for 30 documentaries, teased one about Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner aka Flo-Jo but it’s yet to be seen.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX with the four-part documentary 37 Words presented by ESPN Films and Fifty/50.

Also to mark the occasion, the newly formed W. Studios, which was launched to elevate storytelling around women in sports, created a series of five shorts. Each revolved around the fight for women’s equality in athletics from a variety of perspectives:

  • Girls Got Game
  • Home Field
  • Let Noor Run
  • Make a Splash
  • The Rule of Sedona PrinceĀ

All Nine for IX documentaries highlight either a female athlete or revolve around some aspect of women in sports. Even better yet, every Nine for IX documentary was also directed by a woman.
